Terms of Use
Effective October 23, 2026
These terms cover your use of ThePageTurner.app ("Page Turner", "we", "us"). By using the site, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
The Short Version
- Page Turner is free. You don't need an account to lead or join a room.
- Your music stays yours. Only upload music you have the right to use and share.
- If you think something on Page Turner infringes your copyright, tell us and we'll take it down.
- Don't misuse the service, for example by overloading it or using it to share music you don't have the rights to.
- We work hard to keep it running, but it's provided as is, with no guarantees. Keep your own copies of your music.
Using Page Turner
Page Turner lets a leader share PDF sheet music with a group and turn pages for everyone. A room, and the music in it, is deleted 24 hours after a piece was last added or shown. Anyone with a room's link or code can view the music in it, so share them only with people you want to see it.
You must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live. Page Turner is not directed at children under 13; a teacher or parent can lead a room for younger musicians.
Accounts
Accounts are optional and are only for keeping set lists. You sign in with your email address, using a code or link we email you. Keep access to that email address secure, because anyone who can read your email can sign in to your account. You can delete your account at any time on the account page, which deletes your saved set lists and their music too.
Each account can keep up to 1 GB of music. We may suspend or delete an account that breaks these terms, for example one used to store or share infringing music.
Your Music
You keep all rights to the music and marks you upload. So that Page Turner can work, you give us permission to store them, copy them (for example, into a new room or onto the devices in your room), and show them to the people in your rooms, only as needed to run the service. That permission ends when the music is deleted.
Only upload music you have the right to use. Much sheet music is protected by copyright. Music in the public domain, music you wrote, and music you've bought or licensed in a way that allows digital copies for your group are generally fine; check the terms that came with your music. You're responsible for what you upload and share.
Copyright Complaints
If you believe music on Page Turner infringes your copyright, email us at the address on our Contact page with "Copyright" in the subject line. Please include:
- the work you believe is being infringed;
- where it is on Page Turner, such as the room link or room code;
- your name and contact details;
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the use isn't authorized by you, your agent, or the law; and
- a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act for them.
We'll remove the music, usually by deleting the room or saved set list it's in, and may suspend accounts that repeatedly store infringing music. We keep a record of each removal and suspension, with the reason for it.
Acceptable Use
Please don't:
- upload anything unlawful, or anything other than sheet music and similar material for musicians;
- try to get into rooms, accounts, or data that aren't yours;
- overload, probe, or disrupt the service, or work around its limits; or
- use automated tools to create rooms, send sign-in emails, or collect content in bulk.
No Guarantees
Page Turner is a free service provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise that it will always be available, work without errors, or keep your music safe from loss, and we may change or stop features at any time. Always keep your own copy of your music.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of Page Turner. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that can't be limited by law.
Changes to These Terms
If we change these terms, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. Using Page Turner after a change means you accept the new terms.
